Hand turned wooden bowls & platters
 

Pajono Woodworks is pleased to offer hand turned wood bowls and platters. Every wooden bowl and platter you see here is hand turned on a lathe in my own shop. I do not outsource or import any of these items. The wooden bowls available on this page are all individual and unique. They are not mass produced. I strive to create interesting forms that highlight the beauty of the wood grain and color of the wood species. Various finishing methods are used based on the intended end use of the wooden bowl or platter. The end result being a beautiful bowl that can last generations.
#1 Big Leaf Maple Bowl - This one has a very interesting texture. The outside of the bowl was dented with a hammer and then burned with a propane torch. It is quite a contrast from the silky smooth interior of the bowl. 5" diameter

#2 Douglas Fir Bowl - This bowl was turned from a block of Douglas Fir off-cut from a local custom mill. It was rescued from being ground up into sawdust. 4-1/2" diameter

#3 Pacific Yew Bowl - This bowl was turned from a blank of Pacific Yew which originates from the north west. It is silky smooth and has a very beautiful grain pattern & color. 4-1/2" diameter
